Saving Energy:
We move forward with capital investment to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions (e.g., by encouraging no-idling operations). We make other efforts to save energy as well. On hot summer days, we regularly release and reuse the industrial water used in manufacturing products. The reused industrial water cools the rooftops of our facilities, with consideration for our employees’ physical well-being and to reduce electric power consumption.
Reducing Environmental Burdens:
We endeavor to reduce environmental burdens from the delivery of our products to customers by seeking higher efficiency in cargo loading and transport and promoting modal shifts from trucks.
Industrial water is released on rooftops.
97% of our manufacturing facility illuminations are now LEDs.
Eco-friendlier VOC treatment systems have been introduced.
Balancing Resource Consumption and Economic Circulation for Higher Efficiency
Reducing Environmental Burdens:
We thoroughly segregate and collect the industrial wastes we produce and the raw material
we use in our business operations. By recycling them, we strive to save resource consumption and to reduce environmental burdens.
We have plastic waste reused for thermal recycling.
We join hands with partner enterprises to recycle and reuse raw materials.
We only supply a necessary number of products to customers when they need them in
accordance with how and when they use them. This way, we help our customers reduce product inventory losses.
Approaching SDGs with Our Products
Ship Cables:
Our ship cables, one of our flagship products, are characterized as being steel braided. The steel used in braiding is coated with anti-rust paints, which are both environmentally friendly and nontoxic to humans.
Aluminum Water-Shielding Tape:
Our aluminum water-shielding tape, one of our functional film products, are adopted for power cables to stably supply electricity from power stations. It will contribute to developing future offshore wind power generation.
Super Hanger:
Our Super Hanger plays an important role in expanding stable Internet communication networks to households and public facilities. It underpins firm communication environments in information societies.
SUPRO:
Our SUPRO is coated with specialized resin to keep prestressed concrete (PC) steel materials from corroding. It contributes to the long-term durability of bridges and other infrastructural facilities.
Halogen-Free Flame-Resistant Tape:
In case of fires, our halogen-free flame-resistant tape keeps cables from causing fire spreading in consideration of safety. It is environmentally friendly as it does not generate corrosive or toxic gas. It also underpins information societies.
