Since its founding in 1954, Hien Electric Industries has been recognized by its customers as a manufacturer specializing in ship cables. As it is our core business, we will continue to anticipate the needs of future generations and keep producing and supplying ship cables as long as there are ships sailing the seas.

Our rustproofing treatment, developed from adhesive coating, one of our core businesses, has contributed to societies through its use in concrete and other structures for the civil engineering industry. Our functional films have developed from identification tapes used in electrical cables. In this field, we are working in collaboration with customers to continue developing products that provide water-blocking and shielding properties while also exploring opportunities in the electronics sector.

By providing products and services of lasting value for our customers and the community at large, we will continue to pursue “creating one-of-a-kind solutions”, which we believe only we can achieve. Each and every one of our employees will strive day after day to better meet the needs of our customers and the industries they serve by building an even stronger company and developing talented people.

Since our founding in 1954, we have developed innovative products and solutions by understanding and responding to the needs of our customers. Building on the technologies that we have developed through our ship cable business, we are expanding into new business areas and developing high-value-added products.

We will continue to grow alongside our stakeholders—our customers, local communities, employees and their families—guided by a spirit of coexistence and mutual prosperity.

When hiring, we place the greatest importance on character. We look for people who can properly greet others, and second, for those who show consideration for others. I would say that professional ability might come in third. If you have the first two qualities, you will naturally earn encouragement and support from those around them in the workplace.

Ideally, we also seek those who think for themselves and have the determination to stand by their convictions.
