Realized is the excellent anti-corrosiveness, applicability and strength

Since coating of conventional cables required unraveling of stranded wires, mechanical strength properties of prestressing tendons (stranded steel wires for pre-stressed concrete) tended to change. However, SUPRO STRAND, which does not involve unraveling of stranded wires in its manufacturing process, will not cause any change in mechanical strength properties of prestressing tendons. This gave rise to cables with excellent anti-corrosiveness, constructability and strength, best suited for prestressed concrete in civil engineering.

What is pre-stressed concrete?
Pre-stressed concrete is a construction method used for most of concrete bridges recently built in Japan. Pre-stressing tendons are used to produce compressive stress, which offsets tensile stress caused over a period, preventing concrete foundation from cracking.
