For the civil engineering and construction industries, in addition to the need for strength and stability, we also respond to the diversifying needs of these industries, including manpower savings and shorter construction lead times. In order to contribute to a high level of reliability on a construction project, we make use of technology independently developed at Hien, to carry out coating processes for PC steel wire and wire rope from PC steel. The ultra durable SUPRO STRAND PC steel wire was developed at Hien particularly for prestressed concrete used in the fields of civil engineering and construction. Hien is also highly recognized for the excellent quality and performance of its anti-corrosion process for such products as large diameter reinforcement rope and wire rope for ports.

Anti-corrosion technology
The following technology allows us to achieve anti-corrosion performance capable of withstanding the harsh usage environment for PC steel wire.
- Thermoplastic resin adheres strongly to PC steel material.
- PC steel wire is impregnated with resin. (Hien was the first in the world to succeed in pressurized impregnation of cables with 19 wires)
